Will Your Marriage Survive Your Business?
“Be patient and recognize that nothing is permanent and this will change.”
- Robert Lara
Over the past year, I have heard more and more high-powered, female entrepreneurs announcing their divorces.
With already so few examples of female leaders who have families, there are many CEOs who wonder, can I have a wildly successful company AND have the blissful marriage and family life I desire?
While we are far from perfect, I invited my husband, Roberto Lara onto the show this Valentine’s Day week to share how we have navigated the growth of my business as a couple.
In this episode, we discuss:
—> our decision to hire household staff (Robert shares candidly why he was not a fan of the idea at first)
—> how our differing Human Designs have contributed to a lack of adequate communication (and how we resolved it)
—> the role therapy played in our marriage over the past year
—> the decisions I’ve made in my business to more closely align with my values of being a wife and mother
—> how CEOs can prioritize and support their spouse in a way that also supports your hairy, scary business vision
You DO NOT have to choose between business and family. You can have both. You can have it all.
