When Two Visionaries Get Married

“It is possible for two leaders to be in the same room, as long as they recognize the strength of each other.”

-Roberto Lara

When my husband and I first started dating, I made one thing perfectly clear to him

(Actually, 2 things )

  1. No sex until marriage.

  2. I am not going to work in your dental office.

… See, there is a strange cultural phenomenon …

That makes completely no sense to me.

This idea that “opposites attract”.. ?

So when a couple gets together, one is an introvert, then the other tends to be an extrovert.
And if one loves to be on stage, the other prefers to be behind the scenes.

    And the list goes on.

While this is true with some couples.

… what about those couples who are *not* opposites?

What if they *both* want a stage?
What if they *both* have a mind-blowing vision for their lives and potential impact?
What if they *both* want to change the world?

Its the unfortunate truth that, when this happens, it is the woman who feels pressure to lean back and take a supporting role.

As if there isn’t room for BOTH of them to be world-changers?!?!

    Gimme’ a break.

In today’s podcast episode, Robert & I have a super candid chat about what its like to offer MUTUAL support (what a freakin’ concept) to one another as we each attack our individual God-given missions.

(The first of which, of course, being married to one another and our commitment to our child)

Listen in if you’re married, in business, or just want to get ahead of any friction in case you end up marrying someone who loves attention/success as much as you do #relateable
