Respecting Our Nature with Monika Mundell

“ If the moon attracts the tides, and we are 70% water, there must be a magnetic pull between us and the moon.” - Janelle Lara, 11:30

The moon is ever-present in our lives. It dictates our globe's tides, our moods, and aspects of our bodies as well. No one is more aware of this than women. It is an unavoidable part of being alive - so why not use the moon's influence to your best advantage?

Monika Mundell has shared her success story across multiple industries and continents, and she lives to help women understand the power of nature in their lives and their work, and to use it to serve others while leading a fulfilled, powerful life. Monika has found great value in observing the phases of the moon. When we are aware of the effects the different phases may be having on us, we can be empowered to use them to our advantage.

New Moon/Dark Phase -

This phase corresponds to winter and the north. It is the point at which women find themselves tempted to snuggle in and stay dormant. However, it's actually a great time to look back and embrace past lessons and work to renew and implement positive changes. Releasing the old and reconciling with the death of unproductive tendencies or relationships is a big part of the process.

Waxing Crescent Moon - Time to innovate with intent. Vision boards, journaling and strategizing belong in this phase. This is the time for expansion. As it corresponds with Spring, the waxing crescent moon is for re-awakening your creativity and incubating your ideas.

Full Moon - This phase corresponds to the South and summer. This is the time to bring your ideas to life and gather momentum. Your connections with others become effortless, and so it is a great time to network and meet new people. It is also an important time to celebrate your femininity and care for yourself, even as you connect to the masculine parts of your personality.

Waning Gibbous Moon - This phase is the harvest portion of the cycle and the manifestation of your power. Most women who align their business to the moon cycle find that they get most of their clients and make a lot of sales in this phase. You may be overwhelmed by negative self-talk here as you come down from the massively successful parts of the phase. Rather than panicking and trying to fix it, power down and get introspective. This is also a great time to set some healthy boundaries in self, relationships, and business.

“If we’re not paying attention to ourselves, how can we be of service to others?”

- Monika Mundell  (29:12)

Although these phases differ, in each one, self-care should be given great priority. Entrepreneurship brings complicated feelings to a lot of women involving their roles as a caretaker. While it can feel selfish, caring for ourselves not only helps us be better service providers but also allows us to be present in every part of our lives.

Ultimately, when women align themselves with the moon cycles, they cultivate a healthy balance between masculine and feminine, caring for self and others, and the large shifts between high energy and low. It's the best method for bringing natural harmony to every piece of our existence.
