Lessons From My Highest Grossing Quarter

“Get around people who are more successful than you so that success becomes your normal.”
Janelle Lara

Everything you need to successfully tackle Q3.

Are you in a slump in your business?

I certainly was.

This past quarter was unlike any other. In the beginning, it felt like I had hit a self-imposed income cap. It was an invisible barrier I just couldn’t push past. But I made a decision. I wouldn’t give up.

Neither should you.

Today I’ll be sharing from own experiences in what was one of the most painful but rewarding quarters of my life. I encourage you to be open-minded and prepared for some tough love. It’s time to dig deep. Let’s get you to the next level!

“If you’re in a slump, then analyze it. Figure out what needs to be better and move forward!” - Janelle Lara (11:17 - 11:23)

The low you find yourself in is temporary. There is hope! Just look at my own past quarter! What started out as a slump progressed into my highest grossing quarter EVER.

Here are three lessons I learned along the way:

  1. Gold is forged through fire. In early April, I felt defeated and frustrated by my stagnant business growth. I decided to pick up and read How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling by Frank Bettger. Girl, I couldn’t put it down! The knowledge I learned from that book and my experience with 80 sales calls led me to create a new sales script. As a result, I grossed higher by the end of April than I did in three months prior! When you are in a slump in business, don’t just give up. Instead, use it as an opportunity to change whatever is no longer working for you and build something better.

  2. Everyone needs a coach. If you’ve been following my work, then you’re probably sore from me beating you over the head with this. But it’s a necessity to have an experienced professional with a bird’s eye view of what’s going on in your business. Let’s consider quantum physics for a moment. Ever heard of normalization? It’s the process of making what you want in your wildest dreams normal. So if you want a six-figure business, then you need to surround yourself with business owners who eat six-figures for breakfast. The environment you are in has the ability to normalize scarcity or abundance. Financially invest in a coach ASAP who can provide custom one-on-one feedback. They will generate a monumental impact worth every penny.

  3. Routine is king. April was a great month. June, not so much. I was traveling an exhausting amount in May, draining my spiritual, emotional, and physical well being. I wasn’t journaling. I wasn’t eating well. I wasn’t exercising. I was hopelessly out of my routine. Then it hit me! Too many people, myself included, make decisions based on their feelings. But champions bring their feelings into submission via their decisions. We’ve got to snap out of it! Take control. Set your feelings aside. Stop making excuses and start doing whatever is necessary to get back into your routine.

“No one wakes up every day as a world-class performer. No one! Every single high performer and high achieving person goes through a process to get themselves there.” - Janelle Lara (22:24 - 22:45)

I share these lessons with you in the hope that you will find something of value for your own journey through business. What has worked for me, may also work for you! Shoot me an email to learn in detail the strategies I use to get myself out of a slump. And be encouraged. No matter how stuck you may feel, you have the ability to change.

This week reflect on the lessons above and look for the areas in your business that need your attention. Is there something that isn’t working? Do you need extra support? Are you allowing your feelings to dictate your decisions? Dig deep to uncover the answers to these questions and propel you out of this slump.

Most importantly, never… never, ever, ever… give up.
