I'm on Track for $200k This Year with an Email List of 350
“I have always served my audience and my people as if I had a huge audience.”
Janelle Lara
Sixteen months after becoming the Part-Time CEO, I am on track for a multi-six-figure year. I’ve achieved this with an audience of less than 500. While it is a super tiny micro audience, it is mighty.
I want to share with you three reasons why I was able to experience so much success in my business so quickly.
Reason #1: I have always served my audience as if I had a huge audience.
From the beginning, I have always shown up with incredible free training and awesome challenges. I’ve never held back or diluted my message. I’ve always showed up with the full force of who I am, what I want to accomplish, and the way I want to serve women. I believed that I could create a community of women building six-figure companies while working part-time.
A lot of people hesitate to go live because they think no one is going to show up, anyway. They’re never going to show up if you don't!
Reason #2: I focused on the depth of my relationship with my audience, not the breadth.
Many gurus say that you need to have a huge email list. They say that conversion rates are only 1%, so you have to make sure you have thousands of people on your email list so you can build a six-figure company.
I disagree.
“My conversion rates are 10%, and it's because I do something really simple. I talk to my audience.” -Janelle Lara (16:26-16:36)
I create authentic relationships with my audience. There are several different ways that I do that.
I present calls to action in the emails I send because I want a response.
I give free customized and personalized advice.
I show up for them, not as some CEO with a corporate vibe, but as a millennial woman in her 20s who is also a mother, a wife, and a person.

Reason # 3: I invested in mindset coaching.
We all have subconscious beliefs that are holding us back from achieving what we want. We have subconscious beliefs around having to work hard to make money, that money isn’t easy to come by, and that it’s holy to be poor.
Or, we wonder, what will people think? What will our friends think if I am successful?
“The what-will-people-think concern is a very real concern. You just have to decide that your big-picture dream is more important than other people’s opinions of you.” -Janelle Lara (20:09-20:19)
Our dreams need to be bigger than other people’s opinions of us, but that can be hard to overcome because it’s often on a subconscious level. Hiring a mindset coach was crucial for me. It made all the difference.
I dig deeper into these points and share additional information about my unique method and formula in a new challenge called Small Audience, Big Profits launching August 14.
