Building your business model with efficiency and relationships in mind will enable you to give unimaginable value to your people.

Being selfish can be a good thing. Specifically, putting in the effort to care for ourselves makes us infinitely more capable of doing good in the world around us.

No one knows this better than Stephanie Rush, a lifestyle wellness coach whose passion is teaching women to take the negativity, stress, and insecurity that holds them back and let it drive them towards their best selves, just like she did at the beginning.

As Stephanie moves forward, she is focused on growth. Right now, she acquires clients through a much-coveted system of referrals and social media attention. Her personality is larger-than-life, and it isn’t difficult for women in their 30’s and 40’s to resonate with her positivity and youthful spirit. But now she’s ready to do bigger and better things, and one-on-one training is the key.

“Given the background that I have, you have to relate to your client and see exactly what their starting point is.” - Stephanie Rush (6:15)

In the current age of advanced technology, connecting with others is easier than ever, which is a blessing for business owners looking to foster client relationships with ease and convenience. How do online tools benefit a growing fitness empire?

  1. Ease of Access - It may seem obvious, but setting up an online training program allows coaches easy, intimate access to their clients without a long commute or a lot of friction. Additionally, this model fosters a sense of community where groups are concerned

  2. Accountability - Setting fitness goals is almost as easy as abandoning them, and every bit as common. Giving clients an easy way to check-in regularly and update their partner/coach helps the process along through encouragement,

  3. Available Information - Stephanie takes a holistic approach to changing lives. She offers workouts, healthy recipes, and tons of other information and resources through her program, all of which easily can be housed on her platform and used along the client journey.

Of course, tools are helpful for scaling successfully, but the value lies in the program itself. Stephanie’s gift is helping women nurture every facet of their lives to bring about drastic, sustainable change. She notes that her clients are often busy “alpha” types who may be frustrated with their bodies post-pregnancy, or simply starved for some self-care.

Do you know the incredible value of what you do?

With that said, her work focuses on changing everyday habits in small easy ways. Her program allows for a flexible diet and intuitive milestones - effective only if the subject is willing to put in the work and commit to the process. Thus, her best branding should center on the life-changing results, bolstered by client testimonials and social proof to help spread the word.

One of the big challenges faced by most entrepreneurs is determining the value of what they do and pricing it appropriately. It’s helpful to price based on the gravity and the impact of the end results, rather than the fact that the work was easy and intuitive for the entrepreneur.

Along the same lines, programs should be built to progress with the client. In Stephanie’s case, it is in her best interests to enroll clients in a 30-day kickstarter program to assess their needs and ease them into the nature of the work. After that, the idea is to cultivate a relationship that lasts. If your client likes you and trusts you, they will stick by you. With all the value they’re receiving, how could they not?

“I understand the value in what I’m offering. There is sticker shock, but once I commit to their ‘why’ and get them to envision what their life is going to be like, they really see the value.” - Stephanie Rush (40:55)

Above all, Stephanie’s message is one of positivity and growth. She aims to help her clients live their happiest, healthiest lives and invest in themselves without obsessing over numbers on a scale. Valuing the great work she does will allow her to free up her time and energy to put all that goodness back into the rest of the world, and she will have the best business model to back her up.
