The Shortcut to Building a Successful Business

People like shortcuts. But whether it’s starting a business, improving your health, or winning in sports, there are no shortcuts to success. Being a Part-Time CEO doesn’t mean you build a business with less work.

Being a high-level performer means you develop the right systems for efficiency and get coaching to accomplish what you want in less time. Some people hear “Part-Time CEO” and think it’s about taking an easier path. But others realize it’s true meaning - creating the business and life you want while striking a balance between your professional and personal life. Part-Time CEOs are serious about creating value for others and achieving excellence.

Simple does not equal easy. With the right tools, resources, and coaching, you can build a six-figure service-based business while working Part-Time. But real success takes time. It can take at least one full year to go from a business idea to generating six figures. The Part-Time CEO path is for high achievers who understand that the shortcuts only come after they’ve put in the work.

Like a video game, shortcuts appear after the player has reached a new level. Business shortcuts only appear once you get to the top level of your business journey. A game that gives you all the shortcuts up front is a game that’s not worth playing.

The Steps Are Simple… Doing Them is the Hard Part

The steps to achieving success are simple. Good health comes from eating organic foods, exercising, and getting the right amount of sleep. Yet people still struggle with these simple steps. In business and all areas of life, the steps may be simple but doing them is the hard part. That’s because every person and every business is unique, so the specifics related to the steps in any process must be customized to each person.

Individualized coaching is effective in business, sports, health, and other arenas. Coaching customizes the process to your unique needs and goals. It creates the accountability that propels you farther along your entrepreneurial journey.

So here is a shortcut to business:

  1. Create an offer that solves a problem you’re truly equipped to solve.

  2. Find out where your audience is.

  3. Go there and offer the solution.

It’s a simple process, but the specifics of each step depend on you. They require consistent actions that move you closer to your goals. Consistency is hard, which is why all successful people work with coaches.

The moment you say, ‘I can figure this out on my own’ is the moment you forfeit the championship.” - Janelle Lara (17:16-17:27)

Many new entrepreneurs make the mistake of thinking they can do it all on their own. They don’t consider how important it is to have a coach to guide them through the process, and they think their intuition is all they need to build a successful business. Every single great athlete has worked with a coach. Your raw talent may get you on the playing field, but you need coaching, accountability, and course correction to become a champion.

A Part-Time CEO chooses to take actions that create balance in their lives. They take the steps needed to reach their goals and customize them to meet their specific needs. You can take this approach to become a high-performing Part-Time CEO. You absolutely can achieve your dreams while living the life you want because it really is possible for you.
