How Rachel Watts Sold $15,000 in January
A profitable blog can be the launching pad for your business brand. But few bloggers achieve the kind of success that grows their blog into a six-figure business. By following a few tested and proven principles, you’ll reach a larger audience and deliver value through your passion, skills, and expertise.
Rachel Watts is a blogger, blogging coach, and author who’s built a passive, sustainable income and teaches others to do the same. Rachel grossed $15,000 in January alone, putting her on her way to building a six-figure company. She’s managed to do it all working from her home creating content around topics like personal development and creative time-management strategies.
“Janelle provided the confidence that I could do what I needed to be successful.” - Rachel Watts (16:51-17:02)
Rachel expanded her business by helping other bloggers generate more page views and monetize their blogs. But it didn’t come without putting in the work. Rachel had a full-time job and a child at home when she was getting started. With the right coaching, she’s grown the blog into something that exceeded her own beliefs about what was possible for her.
Doing the Work That Builds a Successful Blog
Rachel invested in a course as soon as she decided to build her blog, and it played a major role in her success. She learned the importance of doing the work. If you follow directions and understand that passive income only comes through hard work, then you get faster results while avoiding the mistakes most bloggers are making.
While Rachel’s blog was thriving, in order to get to a new level of success, she needed to get creative and expand her offer. Offering coaching services expanded her brand while giving others the tools, guidance, and motivation to build their own blogging businesses.
“We’ve discovered the shortcut to success: Be flexible, hire guidance, look at the data, and take action.” - Janelle Lara (44:44-44:56)
Many entrepreneurs test business strategies the way a chef throws spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks. But this leads to failed attempts that cost money, time, and energy. The right coaching fast-tracks your growth and keeps you focused on what works. Rachel leveraged her ability to follow instructions, and she got the confidence to do what she needed to be successful.
The rewards were swift. Seven days after starting her work with Janelle Lara, Rachel got her very own book deal. It began with developing a simple morning routine of actions that developed a positive, future-focused, and forward-moving mindset.
Another component of Rachel’s success was something that most entrepreneurs ignore. She uses data to get an objective view of what’s going on and what the market is telling her about her business. She sees where the flaws are in her program and improves her offer over time. She’s expanded her coaching program to deliver more value to the people she serves. Rachel soon achieved what she had never thought was possible. She generated $15,000 in one month. More importantly, she’s built an asset that will provide a return to her family for years to come.
Rachel learned the importance of working with a coach. Without coaching, progress is slower. With coaching, you get an outside perspective and the resources that help you grow quickly. Rather than being on the fence about a course or coaching program, the successful entrepreneur does what it takes to get the help they need. They follow instructions. They do the work. That’s what it takes to create the business and lifestyle you’ve always wanted.
